165. Dr. Bruce William Allan HERRIOT MD+ was born on 26 Aug 1956 in Castle Hills, Berwick-Upon-Tweed. He was educated 10 "O" & 3 "A" Level Passes. between 1961 and 1973 in local, Berwick Secondary (Church), Mowden Hall, Berwick Grammar School (Head Boy). In 1974/75 he was doing various jobs in South Africa. He received a degree in 1981 in medicine at St Andrews & Manchester Universities. In 1985 he was doctor of medecine, becoming a GP. He was living from 1987 in Bristol then Cradley (Herefordshire), Hope House Barns (17.1/2 acres). Did well in schools education,last year as Head Boy of Berwick Grammar School.

After schooling took year off in South Africa,during which decided to train as a Dr. of Medicine rather than as an Engineer.Accepted on interview into St. Andrews University completed at Manchester Uni..

After various 6 months specialist contracts,and wishing to get married & settle,decided to be a GP..Started in Bristol,then bought present practice in Cradley,Nr. Malvern
1987 .Practice now comprises 4 or 5 partners. Now moved house outside Cradley on lovely relatively undeveloped 17 1/2 acres site.

Had been part-time Medical Director of Herefordshire Health Authority.

Sings in choirs & does solo recitals.

Married a lady doctor and set up in GP practice with her in Cradley, near Malvern.

Dr. Bruce William Allan HERRIOT MD+ and Sarah Elizabeth TURNER Dr., MD were married on 11 Jan 1986 in St Nicholas, Stevenage. Sarah Elizabeth TURNER Dr., MD (daughter of John TURNER Dr.,MD and Jenny STAUNTON) was born on 20 Apr 1959 in Stevenage. She graduated in 1982 in MBBS London. She was General Practitioner (medical). She was living in Hope House Barns, Cradley, Herefordshire (17,1/2 acres) (family home). Daughter of GP father & artistic mother,great-grandaughter of McGregors.Raised in Stevenage.



Became Dr. of Medicine then married & qualified as GP.,while bearing 1st. child.Became partner with husband.



Musical;violin & piano mainly.

249	i.	Kate Elizabeth HERRIOT+ was born on 16 Jan 1986 in Bristol. She was educated from 1991 in Cradley Primary, King's School (Worcester), accepted by London to read medecine.. Plays violin,piano,saxophone. GCSE exam; 10 A+ passes. A Level " ; 3 A " (Chemistry, Biology, English). Went to Ladakh with school party. Hopes to start reading medicine at London 2005, as did grandfather and mother, after gap year. Gap year is being a mamoth tour of India, Kenya & Madagascar !
250	ii.	William Staunton (Will) HERRIOT+ was born on 13 Dec 1987 in Bristol. He was educated from 1992 in Cradley Primary, King's School (Worcester), Edinburgh Uni. Plays trumpet. Head boy at junior school in Worcester. Mountain boarding at international level. GCSE: AS level: A passes x2, B x1.Cx1. A level 2006 with Raleigh International in Sarawak, Malaysia.
251	iii.	John Allan (Jack) HERRIOT+ was born on 26 Apr 1989 in Worcester. He was educated from 1994 in Cradley Primary, Kings School (Worcester). He was educated to A Level result of 3x "As" in 2007. Plays violin. 1999; prefect in junior school (Worcester). Plays rugger for Worcester Club in his age. Mountain boards at international level. GCSE: A*passes x3, A x4, B x3.
