104. Robert(3) Frank HERRIOT (NZ& AU) was born on 23 Mar 1857 in St Mary's Cliff Chailey, Co Chester. He emigrated in 1875 from UK to NZ (aged 18) for 20 years, then Australia. He was ill with eye cataract in 1942. He died of Bronchitis on 24 Aug 1945 in Auburn, NSW, Australia. He was a hotel keeper & latterly a railway employee (also much else). He was buried in Rookwood Crematorium, Niche 159 R. R. He was educated in Dollar Academy.

Robert(3) Frank HERRIOT (NZ& AU) and Clara GILBERT+ were married on 21 Oct 1896 in St Stephen's C of E, Newtown, NSW, Aus. Clara GILBERT+ (daughter of Andrew GILBERT and Mary LONG) was born on 26 May 1872 in Rydal, NSW, Australia.. She died in 1954 in 22, Mona Street, Auburn, NSW, Australia. Clara's grandfather Charles had married Isabella Snowdon, daughter of convict Sarah Darke, who was sentenced to transportation for 7 years in March 1795, and Andrew Snowdon, who was sentenced to transportation on "The Pitt" in 1791. Robert(3) Frank HERRIOT (NZ& AU) and Clara GILBERT+ had the following children:
