83. Charles(6) Maxwell Grierson HERRIOT MC (NZ)+ was born in 1918 in Edinburgh. He died in 1994 in Wellington, New Zealand. He was buried in Wellington. He was C.A., Company Sec Of Thos Borthwicks, Educationalist.. Charles was tall and good looking,as is his wife.

Started to become a doctor,but War intervened .

1939-45 war:served in 7th/9th Royal Scots.Rose to rank of Major. Awarded MC.

After marriage emigrated to N.Z. , having been employed by Thos Borthwick in London and transferred to NZ, where rose to Chief Accountant then Company Secretary.

In latter years was voluntary Secretary at Wellesley College, Wellington.

Charles(6) Maxwell Grierson HERRIOT MC (NZ)+ and Elizabeth Hastings REID+ were married in 1950. Elizabeth Hastings REID+ (daughter of Kenneth Barnard REID and Elsie Margaret REED) was born in 1927 in Nr.Newcastle Upon Tyne. Her family's business:** Andrew Reid & Co, Printers & Publishers in Newcastl Charles(6) Maxwell Grierson HERRIOT MC (NZ)+ and Elizabeth Hastings REID+ had the following children:
