16. Dr Robert(4) Craig MACLAGAN VD+ was born in 1839. He died in 1919. Apart from being a keen Volunteer officer, he researched Gaelic history & antiquities

Among other works he published Scottish Myths (1882), Religio Scotica (1909) and The Perth Incident of 1896 (1905) together with pamphlets on The Clan of the Bell of St Fillans.

Dr Robert(4) Craig MACLAGAN VD+ and Jane Robertson WEBSTER were married. Jane Robertson WEBSTER was born in 1845. She died in 1914. Dr Robert(4) Craig MACLAGAN VD+ and Jane Robertson WEBSTER had the following children:

57	ii.	Francis John Reid MACLAGAN was born in 1870. He died in 1871.
