The "Morning Post" published this quatrain in 1934 after her opening partnership with Betty Snowball;- "What matter that we lost, mere nervy men, Since England's women now playEngland's game, Wherefor, immortal Wisden, take your pen And write MACLAGAN on the scroll of fame." (Website "The Maclagan Men" tells great details, a few are repeated here.) Cricket averages in 14 Test Matches;- batting 41.95 runs , bowling 60 wickets for 15.58 runs each. Test debut; Australian Women v England Women at Brisbane - 28 to 31 Dec 1934. Last Test; England Women v Australian Women at the Oval - 28-31 July 1951.
