FAMILY NOTES
.
The connection of the Patten-Thomases with the Andersons arose when StG Anderson married Anne Patten-Thomas in 1942. They had 3 children, all boys.

As the story goes, Anne divorced StG and in1955 married Hilary Bickford-Smith, setting up house in 62 Abingdon Villas, London and bearing one daughter.

Anne's two families had comfortable relationships each with the other, and, with Hilary's approval, all used 62 Abingdon Villas as their family base. They continued to do so until the property was sold after Hilary's severe stroke on 30.12.2004.

That the Anderson sons were closely involved in organizing Hilary's move to Northallerton Hospital strongly suggests the closeness of the relationships.

Anne and Hilary contributed more than any others to the holding together of the Andersons, and this is best recognized by having this small family tree in the web site.
